2 PhD Candidate/Associate Researchers (13 TV-L) “Adaptive Software Systems”
We supervise your PhD intensely. The specific focus of your PhD topic in the area of adaptive software systems will be determined according to your personal interests and knowledge. Adaptive software systems are able to adapt their behavior to changes in the operating environment. Such changes often cannot be fully anticipated during development. Nevertheless, adaptation capabilities need to be systematically designed into the system, just like other system functions and qualities. This poses new challenges for software engineering methodologies.

You will cooperate closely with our partners from industry and academia in the context of our European and national research projects. You will approach the state of the art in research areas related to your topic through your own literature analyses and visiting internationally renowned scientific conferences. More information on our PhD process can be found at: https://sse.uni-due.de/en/phd-graduation/phd-process/. Besides your PhD undertaking, you will also support our working group in both research and teaching. To support your research and teaching activities, you will guide students and research assistants.
