Open Hiwi position for equipment/system control
The institute of separation science and technology (Lehrstuhl für Thermische Verfahrenstechnik) at the CBI Department is looking for a Hiwi to help us with the setup of a framework to control our lab equipment.
In our labs, we have a variety of equipment that is currently controlled from Matlab. We would like to move away from proprietary software and setup a system which can control the equipment individually from Python and then combine multiple devices into a system which can be automated.
Preliminary work has been done over the last semester but the last student is leaving for an internship.
We offer 7 h per week over the summer semester (extension possible).
Requirements:
- Experience in Python3
- Experience with GUI design desirable
